Spark and Ableton Automations!
« on: November 17, 2012, 04:32:47 pm »
Hi to all,
I have a question, I can't understand if it's possible to record automations on ableton live from the spark VST!

I've seen the Logic tutorial, but for ableton this does not work!

For example pitch automation, FX, volumes....nothing work, pads send midi perfectly but none of the Knob or the FX pad work...

Anyone?
Sorry if that's a known issue but I can't find anything in the net!

Mauro.

You have to use parameter automation, not MIDI automation.

Sorry Kevin, I don't understand really well, I can record Automation into the Spark Sequencer, but if I arm a midi track that take midi from the Spark VST the Knobs does not send MIDI, is that right?

You have to use the VST parameter. See the attached screenshot.
If I remember well, the problem is that you can not record parameter automation in Session view.

Thanks Kevin, I'm very stupid, I already do this whit all other Vsts (even whit Automap and all the V-Collection instruments), I do not know why I did not try this with Spark!

I'm going to do a video to demonstrate the procedure because many other people ask me how to do this!
Thanks Kevin!

Hi Kevin,
Here it is the video:

You can put it in the FAQ for the spark if you like! No problem for me!
