With all due respect, please do implement ASAP!
I was attempting to use this feature since day one, only to find it wasn't possible, major bummer for such a slick controller and software that im otherwise pleased with.

Sequencing in song mode via the software panel is cumbersome, finicky and time consuming.

Please allow me to suggest the highly intuitive workflow that I found most logical and natural:

Enter song mode>

Press record>

and select the song patterns in realtime>

Via the pattern sellect>

Input the pattern sequence linearly in the step sequencer section on the hardware device>

while simultaneously reflecting the recorded pattern sequence in the software song mode panel>

Also the ability to simply select a bar segment via the 16 step sequencer and select the pattern one desires at that bar location in record mode and for it to update accordingly would be very good, for both workflow efficiency and intuitive ease of use.

Just some humble suggestions

Would be a dream!

I think Emilie repaired the Song mode edition on the hardware.
It will work just as it is written in the manuel  .
For the moment there is no realtime record function but we are thinking about improving song mode for the next update (scheduled for the end of the year).
I will suggest your idea about that.
