Recording automation with x/y pad
« on: June 08, 2011, 03:57:46 pm »
Hi!

recording automation in TouchMode (of the x/y pad/right click on filter) doesn't work as expected.
For example (here with Cubase 6.02 on Mac):
a loop/pattern is running while cubase is running, everything is fine.
now i press automation record in cubase and use the x/y pad on spark hardware.
automation is recorded ok.
BUT it doesn't record the "take finger off the x/y pad", so it doesn't send a 100% state when i get off the x/y pad, it stays on the last position instead.
AND while playing back afterwards, spark doesn't recognize my recorded automation, until i send another automation parameter of "cutoff bypass" to a non bypass state.
and everytime i change the automation with spark (rerecord the movement) OR i touch the x/y pad again, i have to reset the "cutoff bypass" state manually in cubase.

"Latch" mode on x/y pad is working as expected. no need to reset the cutoff bypass.

btw.
pressing one of the three buttons "filter, slicer, roller" records a automation state of "Filter bypass" to Cubase...
