I’m sure Arturia will update the 2600V. I would think their collective priorities are to grow as a progressive software/hardware company. Logically they must update there larger client base’s first. Cash flow is important if they are to survive. They are a small company.
The Changes within the computer industry, and Hi Tec. are ongoing and never ending. Much larger companies have the same problem with updates. I’m an analog synthesizer engineer and helped found a major Synth. company, besides being a paid consult to several others. We were always trying to keep up with, or out doing our competition. I recently spoke and reminisced with the former head of service for ARP instruments, Clark Ferguson. Back in the 70’s, he was besieged daily with requests for changes and updates etc., I know as an end user it can be frustrating but hang in there.
