Problems with intel vs no intel macs
« on: November 10, 2009, 11:33:41 am »
I just bought a new mac with intel processor.
I previously worked on a mac g5 (no intel).
Now, when I open up the old songs (logic 8)
on my new intel computer (same version of logic 8)
the songs crashes if it contain any arturia synths.
If I disconnect the arturia synths in the au manager
before opening up the song it does not crash,
but then I can't find out what sound I used on the synth.
Moment 22....

So my question is, how do you get around this problem?
(I don't want to use my old computer and bounce all the arturia synths as audio files
and then import the audio files to my new computer.

Does your Mac crash if your making a new song and start an instrument track with the arturia plugins?

Which version of Logic Studio/Express?

It could be that now you have snow leopard and it will not support an older version of Logic with your Artuia instrument.

Did you correctly installed all synths on the newer Mac, with latest versions and eLC?
Do the synths run well in standalone mode on this new Mac?
On the old Mac, did you export the banks/presets, and reimport on the newest?
