tiny potential bug
« on: November 03, 2010, 12:19:42 am »
my dear french friends this is a small bug i came across. i have recreated it multiple times on 2 Intel dual core systems with 4 gb of ram using windows xp 32bit. i kindly ask if others can confirm this using there systems.

in standalone mode if you hold down any keys whilst toggling the key mode the notes will hang and force the end user to close the application.

kind regards

frank

Could not reproduce the bug yet, but my PC machine is slightly different. I will try today on closer configuration one.
Does it occur on any preset, or only some?

more info

rather than close the application to stop the notes from hanging a simple patch change resolves the issue.

i have tested with more patches some appear at first glance not to do it, however the upp/low balance section is set to upp 100% thus silencing the note hang on the lower section. on that note i will say:

the keys seem to hang on the lower section only

this is happening with all patches, as patches have a different initial key mode setting, triggering the bug differs from patch to patch.

E.G

CELM_SPLIT_SPINDLE (default key mode SPT)

= hold keys change key mode to DUAL, hold keys again change from DUAL to either SPT or WHT

= BUG

JMB_FULL PAD (default key mode WHT)

= hold keys change key mode to DUAL, hold keys again change from DUAL back to WHT

= BUG

i hope this is clear enough for you guys to understand.
