Guy, daisy chain your Midi devices through your Arturia controller. You can control AFE with several cLogic,hannels- through a DAW such as Ableton,GB,Acid. Even if you use a firewire to USB. Now in stand alone, there are not multiple Midi inputs usable, just detected. The little blue check boxes allow only one detected device used. You do have a DAW or digital recording interface right? If not, just set up through a freeware program like VST host,SaviHost, etc. The knobs are great, and if you really want to get down on twisting and fading knobs without huge investment, just score the Korg Nano-Kontrol. It works in conjunction with everything, has 4 random assignable scenes of 8 faders with knobs, 16 button switches for like 50 bucks US. Stand alone is fun, yet not practical, and actually abuses CPU, limits possibilities, etc. Hope this helped
