Jupiter 8 V not in the list of plugins in Ableton Live 4
« on: September 16, 2008, 08:56:08 pm »
Hello !

I recently installed Jupiter 8V.
I use Ableton Live 4 as VST host.
Unfortunately, it does not appear in the list of plugins.

some information:
- running on windows
- MiniMg (I also installed) works fine.
- stand alone Jupiter works fine.

Please can someone help ?

Many thanks,
Thomas

Try to force a recheck on your VST plugins folder(s), somewhere in Live's preferences.

Actually, I already pressed the button "re-scan" several times in the Plug-in Tab in Preferences... in vain.

Indeed, I got the following trick from ableton's FAQ:
A full scan can be done by pressing Alt key + clicking on "re-scan"
Seems to work ...

The first launch of Jupiter 8V failed because USB stick was not plugged.
Live then remembered Jupiter as not active or something like that.
Thus a full re-scan was necessary.
