Hooking Up IN Ableton
« on: December 13, 2013, 01:22:57 am »
So, I am about to buy the Arturia Minibrute and the Scarlett 2i2 audio interface. But, I want to know If i have Ableton's "EXTERNAL INSTRUMENT" instrument to receive audio from the Minibrute through the scarlett. Also, what kind of chord do I need to connect the minibrute to the scarlett? thanks!  :D

MiniBrute could be used as a Midi controller via USB.
In this case you will only transmit MIDI messages, no audio.
If you want to record audio from the MiniBrute you'll have to use the line out output with a mono 6.35 jack (guitar type) through your sound card.
.......testing.......
