Arturia KeyLab 25 vs. Minilab (Knobs Quality)?
« on: November 02, 2013, 05:53:35 am »
Bought Minilab and than bring it back and get money back.
Knobs (rotary) behave in an ungly unpredictable way, slow and fast, slugish and unstable. Even in Shift 1 and Shift 2, even after Flashing the newst firmware and setting the latest config in Ableton: finaly it's unusable.
It's a very dissapinted, because I love the idea of hybrid synth, design of keyboard and the quality of sounds in Analog Lab.

Does Arturia KeyLab 25 have noticable better quality of rotary knobs comprared to Minilab or suffer from the same issues?

I'm trying to map it into Traktor and I have very bad results. My 2 main concerns are :
- I can't control the leds into the pads (I don't think there is a way to achieve that).
- Knobs are AWFUL. the build quality... lets say I can pass on that but I dont freaking understand why they digitally work the way they do. I have to turn them a lot to the right or to the left, to be able to reach some values... I just can't explain with words yet how bad they behave, but I bought this keyboards 2 months ago and now i'm about to write a review I'm gonna send to a maximum of places (djtechtools first).
People need to be aware of the quality of new Arturia products and also the quality of the service we get after we bought their products (nobody here from the company to help)
