Pearl Reference Kit
« on: May 09, 2013, 06:17:39 pm »
Acoustic set for indie/pop

played using Abbey Road Modern Drummer/Kontakt and the solid state series FX

not much you can do for variations unless I sampled different velocities which maybe something I try in the future...though this might do for simple projects or where realism isnt too important ;)

(theres a floor tom on pad 16 as this kit has four toms)

right click on the link and save as "all Files",too big a file to upload here...lemme know if theres any problems or if link doesnt work

EDIT: so ive sampled some extra kicks, snare, and open high hats hits...its sounds like animal from the muppets playing it now lol...its a bit lively but Ill keep working on it

Great mate

Ill update it with some different layers round robined so each snare, hat, and kick hit is slightly different...not today though

Ill post in this thread when ive updated it...I reckon with some different hits you could get something realistic out of it

 :)

Its a bit of a mess Steve...but it gives an idea of what you can do

Ill try making a kit where i dont screw up the "room", it sounds like some hits have reverb and some are dry

My next attempt should be usable...
