My first efforts on Soundcloud
« on: May 22, 2013, 01:00:48 pm »
Going to be playing at my cousin's wedding next week so made a backing track with the Minibrute. Not quite finished mixing yet and going to be playing a combination of the lead lines on my soprano sax. Think it'll work - wish me luck :-) Most parts played live via my akai ewi. a few were replayed by nuendo so i could do a bit more knob twiddling on the second pass...

Very nice!  I can't tell but is there some effects on some of if, mild delay etc?

yes, a touch of delay across the whole mix, but other than that it's all brute...

thanks coldwar, have to own up to playing the brandenburgs a couple of weeks ago with a Mg ensemble so the wendy carlos sound was there as inspiration :-)

have put the sax version up now. worked on the mix a little bit. amazing how great the brute sounds with no effort, had to work hard to get my sax sitting in there with it, but think i got there in the end!
