Mg Minitaur
« on: April 11, 2013, 12:42:17 pm »
Any thoughts on the Mg Minitaur??
I think it would make a fantastic sounding duo with my MiniBrute.

Has anyone here tried it out in person? I'd love to hear your impressions.

Yes — they work beautifully well together! — in fact the MiniBrute brings a whole new flavour to any/all the Mgs, but the Minitaur can be especially nice and very reasonably priced too. I'm listening now to a track I made last night of the 'Taur tracking CV pitch from the 'Brute arpeggiator as well as separate MIDI notes,  with a pair of Voyagers on top which I could post to SoundCloud if you like ...
though there are already quite a few example posts of brute/Mg and other monosynths on recent track posted since I picked up my brute last week https://soundcloud.com/misterpete

here it is tracking out to an Arp Axxe... https://soundcloud.com/misterpete/iron-lady-day

I already thought so... Minibrute + Mg should be awesome.

pretty cool playful and experimental stuff Pete... you have a style totally of your own!
I especially like the creepy sounds in 'Hallucinogenic Children'. Never heard any stuff like this before.
