[SOLVED] Is Spark compatible with Mixcraft 6

Hi, new here...

I have Windows7 32Bit and the latest version of Mixcraft6 and the latest demo versions of Spark and Spark Dubstep;
Spark Dubstep works fine in Mixcraft6 but Spark doesn't get listed as a VSTi.

I contacted Acoustica (Mixcraft Creators) they say I should install the 32Bit version of the Spark VSTi to get it to work but I can't see a link for a 32Bit verison. It works as a standalone and in other DAWs, does that mean it is the correct version for my machine (32Bit)?

Is there a 32Bit version of the Plugin? If so - where is the link please and if not, how can I get the Spark plugin to list as a VSTi in Mixcraft6 please?

Hi Pete,
if you are using Windows 7 32 bit, you can only install the 32 bit version.
So please check that the dll is well placed when you install Spark.

I assumed that to be the case. Thanks for the response.
The Spark, Spark Vintage and Spark dubstep dll files get placed in Steinberg VST folder. My Mixcraft is only detecting the Spark Dubstep and Spark Vintage - it doesnt detect spark.dll for some reason. I'll get back to the Mixcraft forums for some more feedback.

Do you have any other DAW to try it?
You can try with VSTHost.

Yes, I can confirm that Spark works in FL, MadTracker and VSTHost on my machine and as a standalone.

Have also installed Mixcraft6 on my laptop, just to try - same thing, Spark doesn't get listed but Dubstep and Vintage do

You don't need Dubstep and Vintage, it's redundant if you have the Spark CDM software installed. What happens when you de-install Dubstep and VDM and install CDM only?

Thanks!! Did what you said - still no joy at first but then I re-installed and changed the install directory from default
"C:/program files/steinberg/vst/" to "C:/program files/vstplugins/"

When you say that the spark.dll supersedes the dubstep and vintage DMs, are the presets from dubstep and vintage packaged with CDM or would I install the soundfiles from each of the other spark installers for them to work in CDM?

The VDM kits are included in CDM, but not the Dubstep. The Dubstep kits can be purchased as an expansion pack for Spark CDM.
