Standalone crash
« on: October 15, 2013, 02:43:00 pm »
So I spent a few days using midi learn on the 8 and completing a controller template...which worked fine and all went well.  Now I can't open the 8 in standalone it crashes every time.  Seems to work fine in Live.....any thoughts besides a re-install?

Well I click on the J8 icon...The DAE icon starts bouncing....the GUI is up for less than a second....crash.  If you guide me to where the 15 or so crash files are I'd be happy to attach them.

Sorry for my lack of explainations, I need these informations:

- Is this crash happens in a specific DAW or in StandAlone Mode ?

- Do you have installed the latest eLicenser version (I think so, but to make sure) ?
==> http://www.elicenser.net/en/latest_downloads.html

- Is it possible to send us the Crash report by this address:
Technical-inquiry@arturia.com

As stated above in Standalone.  ;)

I will check but as far as I know the Jupiter doesn't use the eLiscencer....just the Prophet and maybe the ARP 2600 which I bought individually and separately from the full collection which I just got recently.  I got the dongle in the Prophet Box.  But please correct me....  The full collection was by download and has been working fine until now.

Sure but I have no idea where to find the reports on my Mac so please advise.

I installed the updated elicenser software.  There are 3 Licenses on there: Prophet V 1.0, ARP 2600V2 and V Collection 3 AL.  Do I no longer need the Prophet V 1.0 on there?

mmm, you can keep the prophet License.
By cons, for the Jupiter, you need an eLicenser License.

After this step, please pm me you ticket number, this will be more easy to support you on this specific problem.

Thanks

Sent what I consider to be my vitals.  Not sure what you mean by Ticket# I assumed either sales or codes  Looking at "my registered Products" in my account there's a Serial # there but no activation codes for the V collection....I just paid, downloaded and started using them didn't think anything else was required.  I just thought you'd have moved past the dongle but please elaborate and explain it all. Thanks!

Yes I got the PM but I'm not exactly sure what I'm supposed to do with this new Prophet code as the Prophet seems to be working properly.(So please advise).  The original issue was with the JupiterVS crashing in standalone which is still the case.

I'm running 10.6.8 and that video is for 10.6.4 not relevant to my OS. Crash Reporter is located in Application support.  None of these look like the right things as they are not named after anything Arturia.  I've never been able to truly understand this crash log stuff.

I think I've found what you need.  I sent it in via email

Hi,

I had a look at your crash log.
It doesn't seem to be related to the midi mapping you created before.

Please remove all the .prefs files in /Library/Application Support/Arturia/Jupiter-8V2 and let me know,
