CPU or what .... ?
« on: December 07, 2005, 08:11:43 am »
hello ...

Another user talked here about "slow mouse" . But nobody answere to him .

I have the same problem . MMV2 editing is more than hard for me ... : I have to click on a knob and hold the mouse button down for several seconds/minutes (!!) before the tooltip appears and movement is visible and applied .
Is it only my problem , problem of my PC/CPU/MOUSE ???
Or is it bug and it will be change / correct  in the future ?

I have Intel P4 1,6 , 256 RAM , Adiophile 24/96

you did not say what os you are running..first is your mouse slow generally with all your other software? check the windows mouse settings first...look for the mouse icon in the windows control panel..
second before running the Mg v turn off all background tasks..such as antivirus, antispyware programs ect. and take the machine off line from any network, including dialup or broadband internet connections..
you should also be doing a weekly pc maintence..running disk cleanup to clean out all caches, and defraging..
so first do all the above..if mouse in Mg v still slow try uninstalling and reinstalling Mg v...
i know there is a newer version beyond Mg v v2 that has a fix for this that is not yet available from the website here....e mail support here for it.

The 'slow mouse' problem is a known issue and was first reported in August of 2004.  See the thread http://ns20209.ovh.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=668&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=&sid=aec57f38292e7944c9b1d477a65d4846

As for the 2.1 'fix' be careful. It fixes the slow mouse but breaks other things like the ability to do controller assignments.
