previous vintage emulations
« on: December 14, 2005, 12:08:50 am »
hi,

I don't know if my feelings are right, but we seem have no news
about previous vintage emulations.
Now, here, we only hear about Brass.

At the same time ARP2600V was released 1 year before
and it's not a steady version because of some bugs inside and
1 year later we even didn't have any updates to correct bugs
and nothing seems to be planed to challenge Timewarp2600.

Some new improvements seemed planed for CS80V and miniMgV too,
but I start to have doubts.

I only hope vintage emulations will continue at Arturia,
Now I even don't dare to ask about next vintage emulations,
but at least I hope we could get soon a steady version of ARP2600V :?

I think that the guys must be working on something new for the NAMM to show so it's possible that the actual products are idle and waiting for an update somewhen next year...as you know I'm daily looking after anything regarding the beloved CS-80V!

Hope you are right Max, I'm waiting for a serious version of
ARP2600V, but for some others improvements on CS80V too,
even I just bought a real one

Yes, I found it in Paris, the cosmetic shape is like new, it's so beautiful
I even can't go to sleep at night. :D
I only have a problem with power supply, the fuse often burns
when I turn it on. I have a noise on tremolo/chorus too when I
push or release a key.
But I found a wonderful electronic engineer who repaired yet
my matrix12 and my synthex, and he seems not afraid to
repair a CS80.
I paid it 5500 Euros.
In RL music they are  7700 Euros but fully functionals and like news.
It's an expensive machine but I was dreaming this synth since I'm
18 years old (I'm 46 now, it was for my birthday).
So I wish much luck for you could find an affordable one too.

I'd like to see some more modules developed for the Mg Modular V.  I've certainly enjoyed the software up to this point.
