Macbook Air 8-Core versus 10-Core

I have Analog Lab V, and I'm going to upgrade my laptop.  Looking at Macbook Air.  Is there any reason I should need to the 10-Core as opposed to the 8-Core?   Also, is there any reason to need 16 GB instead of 8 to run Analog Lab V ?
