Reverse Engineering Presets

I want to learn how to make some of the sounds on the presets.
What's the easiest way to reverse engineer the presets, preferably by dumping the knob settings into a text file?
I have coding skills if there's a GitHub repository or something.

Some time ago I've made a patch visualizer for Matrixbrute as a C# project. It's open source.

May be this helps.
