My dream future features...
« on: December 14, 2022, 01:05:40 pm »
Two weeks ago I bought this little beast and I absolutely love it! Combination of digital oscillators with analog filter is brilliant. It has som „mojo“ and fun factor. Programming new sound is easy and intuitive. Thank you Arturia for this product. Minifreak is almost perfect and will be total perfect if:
(Some of my wishes and ideas for future update)
1. Wavetable (both) oscillators with option of loading 32 own wavetables (microfreak has 16)
2. Oscillators panning ( and MOD matrix panning assign)
3. Superwave with stereo spreading options (saws slightly panning from each other for huge stereo field)
4. ….and cherry on the cake: shimmer reverb algorithm from Pigment 4  ;)

I like how you're thinking, but unfortunately panning the oscillators in stereo will likely never be possible, because it goes through a mono filter. In fact I bet the complete signal path is mono until it hits the effects... ;)

Yes, you are right. I didn't realize Minifreak has mono analog filter. Maybe could be a solution, bypassing analog filter and using digital filters in osc2 sections. ...So I will hope (at least) for adding wavetable and that lovely shimmer reverb. Anyway, it is great synth already.

Shimmer reverb would definitely be an awesome addition! :)
