Minifuse 2 - No output level lights

I can't make my output level lights work even with everything maxed out:
Mic - full gain (red!) > Level full right > Monitor mix to fully "input".    Nothing
The manual hardly mentions them.
Arturia support replied after 3 days and told me to update the drivers.  No joy.  I even bout a second one.  That one doesn't work either.
Any suggestions?  Is there a hidden button somewhere?

The meters on the unit are for the outputs, so they will only show the playback level. You can run the MiniFuse Control Center to get input level meters.
