PBConnect expression issue.

Aftertouch doesn't seem to work when using PB connect playing back recorded MIDI in DAW.  Is this normal?
I have to copy my MIDI to a new track and play out to the PB over DIN to get it to see the aftertouch data which is not ideal.

Oh my ... I contacted support and the answer is rather disturbing:

Why in heavens name, would a synth not process MIDI data coming in? This makes NO sense at all....
