Looking for specific sounds
« on: August 19, 2022, 09:24:53 am »
Hi,

I apologise if this type of message should not be here, but anyways here it goes.

I am a kind of synth sound noob, meaning I never had to recreate or find sounds from a specific song to use. I just started to use VST's and bought V Collection 9 as a start, but am a bit overwhelmed with all the sounds and I have no idea where to start. If I look for sounds eg for this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=av78LTtlc9Y&ab_channel=NataliaDruytsVEVO , I kinda end up in my head with something plucky and string synths. Searching for those terms leads to tons of sounds...

Any help or pointers are much appreciated... is there only one way and listen to as much sounds as possible to kinda know where to find that particular one (or a starting point). Or is there more filtering that can be done already (eg looking for that plucky sound, use synth type x, strings use type y). Perhaps some resource/guides that can help me? Some sound guru forum where they can just finger point the synths used...

Regards.
