How many years has it been? I got CS-80V when it was first released. I have demo-ed or purchased many softsynths since then, but I have to say CS-80V remains my favorite. I say this because just about every time I play it I end up creating a new sound and a saved preset. Maybe it's the fact that there's no menu diving and I can see everything right in front of me. One thing that helps is mapping the most used performance controls to hardware MIDI knob boxes. At any rate, I find the V to be a creative combination of simple and complex, and a most expressive synth.
