Differences between Analog Lab 4 and Analog Lab V?
« on: December 10, 2020, 12:43:16 pm »
I purchased Analog Lab 4 in October and just recently heard about Analog Lab V. Is it possible to upgrade? What are the differences, and do they make it worthwhile?

When I go into ASC, I see both of them listed under "My Products", but only AL4 is installed. Does this mean I'm already entitled to a license for AL V? There's no "install" button for it, so how do I go about installing it?

If you click on the Analog Lab V icon do you not get an install button.

No, but after reading your post about Analog Lab V, maybe I'm better off not installing it anyway.

The good news is AL5 does not replace AL4 at this stage, so you do get to keep your AL4 and all its presets. Might be worthwhile raising a call with Arturia to clarify if as an AL4 owner you are entitled to download AL5 for free. Surely you must be, otherwise it wouldn't appear in your ASC. Good luck.

After installing an upgrade to ASC itself, I now see a button to install Analog Lab V. Maybe I'll give it a try, although I'd still like to know what the differences are. I don't see anything on their website to compare features between the two versions.

I noticed that Analog Lab 5 has less than half of the Analog Lab 4 presets. From what I have tested, many external banks that I have bought on the arturia page when selecting a preset close Analog Lab 5, it is a kind of bug (for example the bank "Synthwave").

I think I will stick with Analog 4 for now  :(.

My version has also just been upgraded to ASC, but I still can't install Analog Lab V I have searched and asked on several forums but still no response. Whether you have detailed instructions on the installation.

Are your other Analog Lab (AL) AL 4?
Please post a screenshot of AL V in ASC?
And please tell how you normally update and install throug ASC. If you have installed your earlier version through ASC, then you should just click the green Install button in a similar way. This will install AL V alongside AL 4.

But your question is'nt the same as differences that this thread is about. So another time please create a new thread with your topic unless you can find a similar topic in another thread.
