PB-Connect as a VST instrument : no more Midi controllers
« on: July 12, 2022, 10:37:12 am »
As I understand it, when using PB-Connect as a VST instrument in a DAW (Cubase 12 for me), standard Midi messages are replaced by PB-Connect's own communication protocol, which enables full automation of every PB parameter. That works well.

But when using the PB as my master keyboard, when inserting a PB-Connect VST instance in Cubase, I can't get normal controller messages sent to other VST instruments (no more sustain pedal, mod wheel, etc.). Those messages come back when I delete the PB-Connect VST instance, which is an annoying behaviour.

Is there a way to have normal controller messages sent to instrument tracks AND PB-Connect still used as a VST instrument in my DAW ?
