Hi, I have this problem with any instance of AL5 where I'm automating any of the macro knobs. Basically when an automation event happens, Ableton seems to interpret the event as a manual control override. I don't have this issue with any other instrument or plugin. Thanks in advance for any hints!

Well took me awhile to figure it out but it seems the problem is that Ableton recorded the same controller performance as MIDI events and as automation events. Not sure if all DAWs will do this. Also not sure if it has anything to do with my input device (Keylab88 mkII). No idea why this phenomenon is unique to AL5. Doesn't even happen with AL4. But the solution is to either delete either the automation envelope or the MIDI events recorded in the MIDI clips.

So there you go.
