Midi Echo / Midi Loop ongoing issue
« on: October 10, 2022, 08:38:23 pm »
I've read several other posts about people having the issue of syncing another piece of hardware over usb in order to use BOTH midi in and out. The common result is that a "midi echo" or "midi loop" occurs. Beyond building/purchasing midi switching boxes to temporarily disable the in OR out function I have seen no response from Arturia about what's going on or what could be mitigated. Could there be some firmware update to sort out why this happens over usb? I have a Crumar Seven (which is essentially a nice keybed with great vintage EP sounds) that is my main composition device, but it only does midi in/out via usb, when I sync it to Keystep via my computer I always get the terrible feedback noise. The Crumar behaves fine when trying this with my other synths over usb midi, but for some reason, the most important one (KSP) just freaks out.  Please help!
