Editing a synth in Analog Lab.
« on: December 11, 2021, 08:44:55 pm »
Not a biggie but in Analog Lab, for example open a split synth patch named "Split Arp and Strings" (both Jupiter 8) i canīt open the Jupiter 8 to fiddle some changes. The sound works and all is fine but i canīt edit it. The jupiter briefly shows up (in a blink) and then a message pops up, saying "You canīt edit this unless you have the full Jupiter 8 V3 progi" which i do have as part ov the big V Collection.

Hi,

Are you sure, that you have the V3 version?
In V-Collection 8 you have the full JUP-8 V4 application - not V3. Do you have earlier versions of V-Collection where you have the V3 version, and if so, then do you have it installed alongside Jup-8 V4?

The Multi preset you mention use the V3 version.
I can edit the mentioned preset here. I have both the V3 and the V4 version installed.
I also have the "Include Legacy Sounds" activated. I don't think that matter in this case - but just so you know in case it somehow does matter.

I'm on Windows 10.

(Even though the V3 sounds will not sound the same in V4, then i still would like Arturia to at convert the old presets to V4 versions as good as possible.
This goes for the Stage 73 presets as well.)

Thank you, dear stranger.

You are of course absolutely right. I thought V3 is what i have.
That comes from me beeing over excited and not checking all posibilites (for instance: what do i have?) because i just want to gogogogo.

A little enbarrassed i seek the door and wish you all things nice.
