Beatstep pro MIDI OUT not working

Hi there!

I tried to use my Beatstep pro with my OB-6 desktop version but it's not working.

I did some tests :

1. The synth receive midi signals from other midi controlers
2. In Ableton live, I receive the midi signals when it's connected via usb but not when it's connected via MIDI OUT in my soundcard. The strange part is that my soundcard is detecting midi signals from the BSP but I don't receive it in Ableton Live.
3. I checked the midi channels in the synth, the beatstep pro and Ableton Live and everything is as it should be.
4. I checked with different midi cables and I get the same result.

So I guess something is wrong in the setups of the beatstep pro but I have no idea what.

Any help?

I was just banging my head against the wall and I realized I had the adapter with the BLACK head plugged into the midi out. I swapped to the GRAY head and now it works.

I didn't even know they were different
