USB plug broke down...
« on: May 07, 2021, 11:16:09 am »
Hello,
The inner part of the USB plug of my AudioFuse 1 just broke down...
Is it something repairable by Arturia / does someone had this issue resolved ? This Audiofuse was bought in Nov 2017, I assume it's no longer under guarantee but this seems to be a very odd problem. The usb plug always was a bit faulty/jiggly but I assume it was ok, and didn't think the inner part could broke down like that...
Many thanks for your help, it's an essential piece of my audiovisuel company (et comme on dit en français je suis vraiment carrément dans la merde) but buying a new interface seems... sad to say the least.
Kind regards,
Mahabdi - Nouxe Productions / MisèRecords

Unfortunately I think your only solution would be to have the part replaced. It's pretty easy to replace large items like USB sockets if you're half competent with a soldering iron, however it seems most people are not and they see it as a specialist skill, so likely you will need to find someone to replace it for you.

Many thanks for your help. I am seeking Arturia support to see if it's something they can do with their own parts and know-how, before attempting doing it by myself and possibly wrecking furthermore my unit! But if you think the socket is replaceable, it might be good news (due to the size of the unit I was affraid it was just beyond repair!)
