Need help with midi setup.

Hello, this is my first post here and I need help with my setup. My akai mpk49 is hooked up to the midi in of my microbrute however when I play a note on the mpk, nothing happens. I don't really know much about midi programming and such, however I'm willing to learn mobdro kodi.

I own neither so I can only give you general advice but the first thing I would check is they are both set up to send and receive on the same midi channel. Consult the user-manual of both products if you are unsure how.
