Setting destinations independantly in the matrix

Hi,
In the manual, it looks like it's possible to set the destination of all LED/crossing independently...
But I can't do that (I've the last version). If I try to do what to manual says, it defines all destinations of the column simultaneously.
Did I miss something?

It would be interesting if it was possible on earlier firmware versions to set the destinations independently ...
