trying to figure out filter amt. vs. cutoff relationship
« on: December 07, 2022, 11:10:36 pm »
Hi Everyone.  I am new to analog synthesis and also exceptionally dumb. Here is my first issue:  I see that the Filter Amt. controls the cutoff freq of the filter.  I also noticed that turning the Cutoff knob on the filter affects the filter as well.  What is the reason that both these knobs control the cutoff at the same time?  What am I missing?  Is there an advantage?  Will they cancel each other out if one is high and the other low?  Any videos on this out there?  I'm trying to learn the unit from the ground up and I need to get things like this clear as I am easy to confuse.  Any insight would be great.

Thanks!

No offense, read the manual
Or watch loopop's video about the microfreak
Cutoff controls the filter's frequency and filter amount controls how much the adsd envelope has effect on it
