So, I have a Microfreak, and also a Beatstep Pro, which I sometimes use to control the Microfreak. Of course, the BSP is a purely monophonic sequencer, but I would like sometimes to be able to play the Microfreak paraphonically under control of the BSP.

I thought that one way to accomplish this might be to record a paraphonic sequence on the Microfreak, and use the BeatStep to trigger the sequence. But in that case, I want to use the BeatStep pro as the clock source, and sync the Microfreak sequencer to it. But that does not seem to work. If I set the Microfreak clock source to 'MIDI', the sequencer simply does not play.

Is there any way around this apparent limitation?

set clock to auto, press play on the other sequencer, it should start up
