Yeah, this is the only major issue I have with MicroFreak UI.
If keeping track of the last
used
patch is not possible, at least boot into the last patch in the memory (e.g. one with the highest number).

Don't even have to be an option, just load *always* load last preset, like any sane keyboard!
If I get this (and you don't mess up any of the other features) the MF is perfect for me...

Would be a mighty handy option in the Utility -> Browsing menu.
This + turning the encoder counterclockwise when I'm on Preset 1 should continue with 256 and vice versa (endless browsing).

Well, last
saved
preset it what we got today and it works! I guess we just need to do a quick save before turning off (and also switch away and back to the preset so we don't mistakenly save any new tweaks).

So now we have load last SAVED preset, a step up, thanks. Still loading last LOADED preset is so much better. Can we please have that? Please?

My guess is that there is no battery in the MF, like there is in most synths to keep some memory awake when turned off (like the bios of a motherboard, which needs a battery to retain settings). So for the last preset to load it would need to write something to an EPROM (or something like that) every time you change a preset, cause the MF can not know when will be the last before turning off. It can of course write something when it is rewritng (saving) a preset anyway. It will also make sure you get the last preset as it was used last and not stored earlier.
Do I get bonus points when I am right
