I've got the Drum Sequencer on Midi Channel 1 and i'm trying to set some pads on the drums to send to Midi channel 2 so i can add another instrument to the drum rack. I'm using the Midi Control Centre, i press Store to Project 1 etc but the designated pads don't send. I've got a synth on Midi Channel 2 but it doesn't receive anything. How do i finalise the setting on the control centre or do i need an extra cable? Thanks.

First of all make sure you have the latest version of MCC installed and the latest firmware on your BSP (versions 1.11.1.1538 and 2.0.1.6 respectively.

Now, where in MCC are you making the changes?  When you press "save to" make sure you have selected the correct project in the device browser.  You should get a transfer bar indicating how far along you are going.  Also, if you open the MIDI Console view, you will see the hex code of the sysex data being transferred scrolling down the window.  If you are having trouble storing your project using the "store to" button, try dragging and dropping the project from the project browser onto the project in device browser you wish to save to on the BSP.  Doing it that way won't bring up a transfer progress bar, so use the MIDI Console window to check that the transfer is occurring.

All that said, it sounds to me that you maybe changing the control map, which won't change the channels your drums are being sent on.  To achieve what you want you need to create a custom drum map in the device settings tab.  The changed made there should automatically be sent to the BSP.  If you open the MIDI Console in the View menu of MCC, you should see the changes being sent.  You shouldn't need to press "store to" for these changes to happen.

I meant to reply to your earlier post, but was sidetracked and lost my previous reply.  Anyway I hope I have helped.
