Phono Inputs 3/4

Hallo.

I have a general question about the phono inputs on the Audiofuse.

When I record vinyl, I adjust the level in the Audiofuse Control Center with the input 3/4 Gain knobs in the software.
I usually record at around -6db to allow adjusting in my DAW later on (getting rid of clicks, normalizing, etc.).
The Audiofuse does this flawlessly until I look at the waveform: It looks like a brick.
Still recorded at -6db but looking like a brick.

If I attach my NAD phono preamp and record the signal into the Line In 1/2 on the Audiofuse, I can adjust the input signal like I did before when going directly into the Audiofuse phono inputs 3/4.
The recorded waveform doesn't look like a brick in the end and a bit "healthier".

I just need to know what exactly the Audiofuse does or if this is normal.

Hi BarkerBaumecker,

The square waveform is due to saturation of the phono analog preamp in Audiofuse. The gain of the Phono input is digital and when you apply a negative gain you can not see the saturation in the viewmeters on Audiofuse Control Center.
We plan to correct this in a future update but for now I would recommend you to use zero gain on the PHONO and adjust the gain after in your daw.

Salut je viens d acheter audiofuse  je voulais savoir si le problème sur phono a été résolu  car j ai un signal saturé et inaudible  merdique quoi  j vais choisi audiofuse
pour cette option phono plus pratique pour moi  par rapport a votre presentation  et la je suis très déçu je suis de lyon  si il faut me déplace  pas de souci tenir moi au courant car je dois riper pas de vinyles pour un projet (futur set)  merci et a être bientôt j'espère merci

désolé du délai de la réponse.
on a sorti tout recemment une update firmware de l'AudioFuse, ainsi qu'une mise à jour de l'AudioFuse Control Center.
la mise à jour firmware améliore notamment le comportement des inputs 3-4 en cas de saturation.

je te conseille fortement de faire les mise à jour, car au delà des correctifs de l'audiofuse. l'audiofuse control center préviendra désormais les utilisateurs quand une mise à jour (software ou firmware) sera disponible.
