Title: Confusing point in manual (perhaps we can start this page for such questions?)
Post by: shmuelyosef on June 16, 2019, 01:42:41 am
On page 118 in the manual, it reads:

Once you're in Step Recording mode (Record button lit red):
• Hold Erase and press a step to initialize the content of that step
• Hold Erase and press a page to initialize the content of that page
• Hold Erase and press a track button to initialize the content of that track

My question:
How does a "STEP" differ from a "TRACK BUTTON"?

What I have learned is that when a track is running, the buttons are "step buttons" and when the track is stopped they are "track buttons"...was this nuance just missing from the manual, or am I missing something???

Hi,  shmuelyosef.

I'll try to answer this.

Each sequence has four tracks. There is four buttons [Pitch][Gate][Velo][Press] for each. Track select buttons are located above [record][stop][play] buttons.
Each track have step buttons (16 pads beneath encoders). Depending on track settings for [Velo] & [Press] tracks they can be linked to [Pitch][Gate] or independent.

- Track buttons = [Pitch][Gate][Velo][Press]
- Step buttons = [row of 16 pads]

That's it!
