Title: Pads in daw mode. Only first two rows light up?

While in Daw mode, the pads indicate the track/clips.
In my MKII, only the first two rows light up. The last two rows are totally dead.
Is this by design, or do I have a faulty MKII??

Check that you haven’t accidentally selected KeyLab Essentials instead of KeyLab Mkii in the very top left of your Midi Control Center. The Essential only has 8 pads.
