Title: Can I sequence paraphonically using external sequencer?

Pre-sales question; I don't yet have a MB. I understand that the sequencer won't play the MB paraphonically, except for that trick posted on YouTube. Can I use an external sequencer like the KeyStep (also pre-sales) to sequence 3-step paraphony, i.e., 3-note chords, on the MB?
