Title: Beatstep Pad Lights
Post by: IanS on August 03, 2018, 04:09:51 pm
I am using the Beatstep as a Midi controller for some photo editing software, using Bome Midi Translator Pro to connect the Beatstep and the photo editing program.

I would simply like the pad lights to turn on when a pad is pressed.  How can I do this?

Hope someone can point me in the righ direction.

Ian

In the MCC, select a pad you want to modify, under "Option" select "Toggle"

Apologies for not explaining the issue I wanted help on.  I occidentally posted having only started my question and then couldn't find a way to edit. :-(

I am using the Beatstep to control a photo editing application via Bome Midi translator. The Bome software intercepts the midi message and translates it into a key stroke for the photo editing software.

What I was trying to find out if there was any way to control the colour of the pad light when they are pressed?  I have implemented a "shift" key in the software so that when a pad is pressed, depending on whether the shift key is pressed, one of 2 commands are issued,  What would be nice is if I could change the pad colour from the default Red to say Blue if the shift key is depressed?

I have attached a couple of screenshots to show the MCC settings.

Thanks

Ian

Hello,

Ok, I understand. You cannot change the pads colors in the MCC.
