Title: Oscillator Tuning Question...
Post by: Van der Waal on July 18, 2018, 08:45:48 pm
Having owned a microbrute and only having on knob to tune the synth, the three different tuning knobs is going to be part of my learning curve.  I sort of wish the fine tune knobs for both VCOs had a notch to mark the exact middle of the knobs throw so I didn't have to be so diligent about tuning them independently after getting global tuning straightened out.  Maybe a firmware update could change the knob behavior (linear/exponential) to improve tuning - Just a thought.

Hi Van der Waal,

Any Firmware update won't change anything about that. This part of the design is only analo.
The tuning of the MiniBrute is temperature dependant. That's why there's no notch at noon to mark the right tuning.

Makes sense - it does seem easy to tune and pretty darn stable compared with the Microbrute.

Thanks!
