Title: Minibrute 2S and midi keyboard?
Post by: keithwn on February 02, 2018, 04:48:14 pm
Hi
Probably a very basic question - easy - I'm new here!!

I’m considering buying either the new Arturia Minibrute 2 or 2S. I know the differences. I like the additional sequencer features of the 2S, but will also want to use it with a keyboard too. If I get the Minibrute 2S along with, say the Arturia KeyStep (or maybe another midi keyboard controller such as the Alesis Q49 ), would that enable me to play the Minibrute 2S from the keyboard in much the same way as using the internal keyboard of the Minibrute 2 model?

Can you see any issues?

Thanks

Keith

The added cv outputs from the keystep may come in handy as well. In my mind 2s+keystep is a winner!

It's a popular setup suggestion here at the office too :)

Bumping the thread for the following question:

I've both an AKAI LPK25 and an old Arturia Minilab at home. Looking to purchase the Minibrute S2. Both keyboards have MIDI to USB and that's it. Is it possible to control the Minibrute through those? The setup would be: Minibrute connected to computer connected to LPK25/Minilab. Does the keyboard HAVE to be connected straight to the Minibrute via MIDI?

Thanks! :)
