Title: tips for splitting the individual outputs to wet and dry channels? which cables?
Post by: estellaballet on January 25, 2018, 09:18:11 pm
So I found that if I put the kick 1 drum through a fuzz pedal I have it sounds absolutely DISGUSTING (in a good way) but also loses the punch of the kick.  What I want to do is split the individual out for this drum into two signals, one that goes straight into the board "dry" and the other routed through my fuzz pedal. I'm having trouble figuring out which cables to use, tho, since so many of those I'm finding are TRS instead of TS. Any tips of what to do? Will it work with TRS?

The only solution I've thought of would be a 1/8" TS to 1/4" TS cable into this https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/YPP106 and then regular mono 1/4" cables the rest of the way. Thoughts?

Hi estellaballet,
It is not recommended to split an audio cable like that. I think you should use a mixer if you want a good sound.

It will not work because I guess this adapter require a TRS cable input.

do you not have inserts on your desk at all?? or if not, use a send and return on your desk. then you can mix dry and wet signals
