Title: Key Pressure
Post by: lowplainstu on November 29, 2017, 04:47:15 pm
Hello everyone.

I struggle when using piano sounds on my Essential 49.
I really seem to have to hit the keys quite hard to get a decent piano sound out when compared to other instruments.
Is there any way to change sensitivity?

It's not the keyboard.  It's the software.  If you're using Analog Lab 2 then it depends on the preset that the author used.  Some are louder than others.  If you're using the Grand Piano D, you could try increasing the volume on your computer.  The other thing you can do is to use the volume control on the keyboard which sends a midi signal to the software.  If the software's volume control is linked to the control on the keyboard, it should respond.

Hi,

You can also try to change the Velocity Curve of the keybed of the KeyLab Essential on the Midi Control Center application.

Thanks for the replies. Must try on the midi control centre.
