Title: arp odyssey in 2600, Chroma.....etc
Post by: jeffbart on December 04, 2016, 02:35:22 am
A) Should the 2600 have the basic components to simulate ARP Odyssey sounds?  If there are any George Duke fans out there would be great to make some Odyssey presets for some of his signature sounds...

B) I notice there's a well regarded Korg emulation in iOS, and G-Force do a VST as well.... Might an Odyssey be a good/easy to do new idea for Arturia?

c) Talking ARP....I would love for Arturia to redo Rhodes Chroma (last big ARP project). It would be perfectly suited to a plugin. I loved mine so dearly all those years ago.....

I had success setting up patches from the Odyssey on a 2600 in high school. Long ago. The Odyssey was a relative pre-configured synth for live use. If you pay attention to the slider inputs and patch the 2600 like an odyssey you should have a lot of fun.

The 2600 has an extra oscillator and no sync. I would think the later 2600s and odyssey had similar if not the same components inside.

I might get a wild hair and give it a try.
