Title: low priority - Manual for v3 wrong in several instances.
Post by: jeffbart on August 08, 2016, 12:43:38 pm
The manual is wrong in several places
e.g. CsAssign does not exist. (3.6)
The playing modes for the 4 zones have the wrong names (3.4.2)
closing the hatch no longer does what the manual says it does (3.4.2, 3.5, 3.6)
the transposition 'feet' diagram doesn't match the 'feet' listings (3.5.1)
Course spelled as 'COARSE' (3.5.11)

These are just a few to show the manual needs to be checked for accuracy and re-written.

I've just noticed, upon reading through the new manual, that from page 36 onwards the pictures of the GUI front panel are of the old V2 version! You know, the version where you had to click on certain parameters which would then light up to show they were active...

NOT HELPFUL.

I agree .. this is an area where Arturia might want to get a professional technical writer to redo all their manuals. They really need a dedicated document specialist to match the quality of the applications. Same with many aspects of the GUIs. There are some wild usability no-nos regarding legibility, contrast etc.  The CS80 especially has some plain logic mistakes in the placement of the labels and teeny weeny little fonts.

Luckily the synths sound amazing.

Coming up to a year and the manual is still hilariously wrong, referring to features that no longer exist.
