It is really really really be and must to be able to erase the sequence on the hardware itself.
for the rest: love it!! great keybed, plays really nice best slimkeys played on till now!!!
-
Yep - pretty frustrating that there is no obvious way to clear a sequence via the KS.
-
I want the "delete sequence option", too.
-
+1 for delete sequence option on hardware
-
There's 2 way to do that actually :
- press shift + STOP several times will delete your sequence step by step.
- press rec then TAP button in order to record only a rest then press stop.
As shift is used with all the buttons available on the Keystep it's not so easy to add such feature...
Any idea is welcome !

one possible way could be modifying the button behavior with the midi control center software: the default behavior could be the current one, or we could switch it to a different mode in which the shift+stop would not just delete one step, but the whole sequence and the rec+tap would overwrite the currently playing note as long as the buttons are held down.
Another possible way could be shift+stop held for ~2 seconds

I'm here for the same reason! Working with keytep without computer and desperately need to get it to delete an entire sequence without pressing shift+button 64 times!!
Like the poster before me said, sounds like a pretty good idea. SHIFT+STOP+BUTTON. Something like that sounds good. Seriously needed feature!
Other than that, very nice product!

Hi I just purchased the keystep yesterday my second product after the beatstep pro. I like it so far but this was the first real thing that confused me. I was trying to figure out how to delete a sequence. Finally came on here after "gasp" reading the manual ;). We need a way to delete an entire sequence. It is a must for proper workflow. Perfect example is if you have 64 steps like was mentioned. I like the idea mentioned, a combination of two keys for example shift +stop held for more that 3 seconds deletes entire sequence. Less than 3 seconds and it could function as it does now. Please add this, I just defended Arturia on a forum then went picked up a keystep came home and find out no delete sequence function ::). I really do like the products coming out from Arturia and the drumbrute looks really good ;D

Rather deleting the sequence, clear all the notes in a sequence would be better in my opinion.

Regarding the blank space on the keystep there could be a sequence length knob for setting and a small display which reads the length. But it is too late for this :)
But still the sequencer/arp or time div selector can be used for this.
-
its been a while since this was opened.
its still frustrating that there is no quick option to clear a whole pattern/sequence...
or was there a software update lately?
cannot understand how the developers didin t think of a main feature like this
in the production.
very annoying !

Press record and hit rest, you now have a blank one-step pattern. To delete all notes but keep the length of a pattern, start the pattern playing, hit record and then hold down the rest button for the entire pattern loop. You now have a blank pattern the length of the original.
