Title: Power consumption of the Beatstep
Post by: djfill on June 22, 2016, 12:55:35 pm
Hello, I've had a look at the Manual and details of the Beatstep and I can't seem to find the power required for the Beatstep to run.
I understand you just need a standard power supply, but I specifically need to know the current drawn by the device. I believe the voltage is 5V DC?
The reason being is I'm planning on running it from a portable power bank, maybe something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/External-100000mAh-3-USB-LCD-Power-Bank-Portable-Battery-Charger-For-Smartphone/142024883569?_trksid=p2141725.c100338.m3726&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20150313114020%26meid%3D0827477a71a945b6ba44042dd6eb68d2%26pid%3D100338%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D30%26sd%3D111953722450

Thanks!

Hi dj fill,
https://www.arturia.com/faq/utilization/wich-power-supply-psu#BEATSTEP
The beatstep current drawn is about 200/300mA any 500mA PSu should work.
With your power tank i think your BeatStep will last very long (around 13 days) !
